Acclaimed director Davide Livermore’s epic production of Verdi’s Aida will make its highly anticipated Brisbane debut in December, playing at QPAC's Lyric Theatre from December 6-20, 2023.

Following rave reviews in both Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane audiences will be treated to this dazzling digital production featuring ten towering floor-to-ceiling LED screens displaying immersive designs ranging from rich symbolism to vivid landscapes.

Co-produced by Opera Australia and Opera Queensland, Aida features a stellar cast including Australian soprano Natalie Aroyan as the enslaved princess Aida, French-Russian mezzo soprano Elena Gabouri as Aida’s rival Amneris, and Diego Torre is a powerful Radamès, the man they both love.

This radiant production of Aida also includes the Opera Australia Chorus and Opera Queensland Chorus singers, along with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra led by talented Italian conductor Lorenzo Passerini.
