Powerkids: Little Artists at Play

Powerkids: Little Artists at Play at the Brisbane Powerhouse is a fantastic free creative play workshop series for children aged 0-5 years and their parents and carers.

Held on Tuesday mornings during school term* on the stunning open space of the Turbine Platform, Powerkids features multi-art experiences led by internationally acclaimed artists from Imaginary Theatre.

Each week a host artist collaborates with the group on unique and engaging activities, from theatre and visual art to dance, music and digital media.

Children and parents/carers are invited to participate together in these inspiring fun-filled sessions, in a relaxed and inclusive environment where anything is possible.

The Exploring Drawing - Sue Loveday (creator of Tree Hugs in 2017) returns with her new installation The Exploring Drawing from Apr 17. Little artists will adventure through this interactive black and white drawing of the Australian Bush. Along the way they meet the very special animals who live there and explore drawing with them.  Apr 17-Jun 26

Need to know – Bar Alto opens from 8.30am on Powerkids days – the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and babycinos overlooking the river. Make a super fun day of it by combining a Powerkids session with a play in the New Farm Park playground next door.
