Brisbane’s exciting new lifestyle precinct South City Square at Woolloongabba is celebrating spring with an Italian-style SpringFling on Saturday, October 13.
The first of many South City social events, SpringFling is an Italian-inspired street party featuring some of the city’s leading names in outdoor hospitality.
Kicking off at noon, guests can enjoy delicious food and drink from Salt Meats Cheese, Tuckshop Time, La Macelleria and Kivahan Coffee while lounging around in the sun listening to live music.
At the centre of the event, will be the SpringFling long lunch table surrounded by food trucks and tasting stalls; while a licensed bar will provide libations in a relaxed setting decked out with scatter cushions and umbrellas.
Salts Meats Cheese, the precinct’s most recent resident and one of Australia’s most popular Italian restaurants, will be dishing up deep-fried savoury and sweet pizzettes, traditional Italian frittelle and Salt Meats Cheese wheel, as well as a line-up of classic Italian desserts including their signature Aperol Gelato.
Fun activities on the day include pizza stretching, tossing and cooking using an interactive stretching table and gnocchi-making sessions.
More than just a residential haven, the South City Square precinct is set to evolve into a vibrant retail destination for residents, locals and visitors alike.
