Urban Providore is a chic, contemporary eatery, found off Oxford Street in Bulimba, serving breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake daily and all you can eat pizza and pasta on Friday and Saturday nights.
Located on the corner of Oxford and Riddell Streets, Urban Providore (a sibling for Providore at Marina Mirage, Main Beach) offers respite from bustling Bulimba. Patrons can dine indoors or al fresco overlooking leafy Riddell Street. The décor is stylish with custom-made concrete-topped tables and white bentwood chairs.
Breakfast, served until 11: 45am, ranges from healthy fare like avocado and pumpkin hummus served with sourdough toast, spice roasted pumpkin seeds and poached eggs, quinoa scrambled eggs with turmeric, hazelnut dukkah and roasted kale, and acai panna cotta with honey, cinnamon yoghurt, cardamom syrup and granola clusters to the deliciously decadent blueberry and ricotta pancakes with maple syrup, double thick cream, white chocolate, bees honeycomb and scotch crumb blueberry gel.
Lunch options include fine-dining dishes such as king prawn salad with green mango and red papaya served with Sichuan pepper and rice wine dressing, Moroccan snapper tagine with green beans, sweet potato, almonds and yoghurt, and beef cheek with horseradish potato puree.
Come the weekend, customers can tuck into All You Can Eat pizza and pastas like prawn and crayfish angel hair with bisque, lemon and chilli or margherita, pepperoni, spicy salami or truffle mushroom pizza.
Child-friendly, littlies can nosh on freshly-baked croissants with jam, bacon and egg on sourdough or pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream for breakfast; while lunch options include fish and chips or spaghetti with Napoli sauce.
Coffee on pour is locally roasted Open House coffee. Otherwise, there are teas, milkshakes, smoothies and cold pressed juices.
Licensed, the bar is stocked with beer (like Corona, Peroni and Stone and Wood), cider, spirits, white, rose and red wine. Classic cocktails include mojitos, cosmopolitans and espresso martinis or try a Bulimba No 5 - whole coconut, pineapple juice, Malibu rum, lime juice and coconut milk
