Wolfgang By Circa
Logan Entertainment Centre
The thrill of circus acts meets the mayhem of the classical world of Mozart when spellbinding circus group, Circa, present Wolfgang at Logan Entertainment Centre, July 4 – 6.
If you’ve ever seen the amazing feats of Circa Contemporary Circus, you’ll know that they give their all in a thrilling and highly-creative way. Wolfgang will follow in that vein in this work created by Circa Director, Yaron Lifschitz, with Sound Designer/Composer Quincy Grant and the Circa Ensemble. The work was commissioned by The Art Centre Wyong.
In Wolfgang, we see the musical genius as he’s never been seen before in a school holiday timed, family-friendly production (for ages 3+) featuring a fusion of circus, movement from two highly-skilled acrobats, and, of course, wonderful music from a talented musician. Mozart appears amid a puff of powder, wigged and ready to throw musical madness into a crescendo of dives, swoops and twirls. Performers bring the renowned compositions to life, while an eccentric conductor takes charge.
Circa Contemporary Circus has been thrilling audiences in Brisbane and beyond since 2004. Their extreme physical feats are performed by an ensemble of multi-skilled circus artists throughout the world. Les Echos hailed them as “…a revolution in the spectacle of circus”. Better book soon as this will be a popular school holiday event.
