Hideout
Fortitude Valley
Hideout is a charming cafe by day and enchanted fairy-lit garden bar on Friday nights, where patrons can hide away while sipping cocktails and enjoying delicious eats.
Housed inside a heritage-listed service station in the Valley, this inner-city oasis has a jungle vibe with its botanical-inspired bar and leafy, fairy-lit courtyard.
On weekdays, customers can enjoy expertly-brewed, locally roasted coffee by Bear Bones, along with breakfast favourites such as smashed avocado on Turkish toast with dukkah and lemon, eggs benedict with crispy bacon or halloumi, or a steak and cheese toastie with caramelised onion, spinach and BBQ mayo on classic white bread.
Lunch/dinner offerings range from burgers (beef and chicken) to mouth-watering pizzas: Margherita, Funghi, Hawaiian and Carnivora - a meat-lover's pizza topped with meatballs, bacon, leg ham and sopressa.
Tasty bar bites include peking duck spring rolls, pulled pork bao buns, charred chorizo, and a grazing plate of warm marinated olives, dukkah hummus, balsamic olive oil and toasted Turkish bread.
On Friday evenings, Hideout is open til late for your drinking pleasure offering craft beer (on tap and bottled), boutique spirits, and a concise wine list; while signature cocktails to imbibe in the secret garden include Lychee Mojito, The Queen's Bush (gin, apple, elderflower, lime and cucumber), and It's a Bloody Quila - a fresh mix of pomegranate, lime, triple sec and tequila.
