A boutique operation run by dog-loving sisters who are nationally accredited dog trainers and animal behaviourists, Houndog is the equivalent of a five star holiday/private school for dogs, and at competitive prices.

Along with personal service and low carer-dog ratio, Angela and Leah take a holistic approach to dog-minding, with their every need thought out and attended to. Whether it be which dogs are suited to be accommodated together, their individual diets, ensuring proper exercise or facilitating socialization, nothing is neglected or outsourced.

Day Care: With a pick-up drop-off service available, this is rare dog minding at its best – the free range alternative to the standard warehouse 'cage'. Dogs get to travel on a mini bus to spend the day at the beach or off-leash park, with full supervision, games and attention, with fun videos/pics sent through at intervals so owners can see what their pets are up to. Max of individually vetted 12 dogs per group.

Dog Holidays: Angela and Leah's house is a dog's home away from home, so dogs get to stay in a comfy home environment, with shady back yard, ball games, their own food and guaranteed temperature controlled indoor sleeping (which is arranged according to their level of sociability). No need to bring bedding or toys, just a leash and all food. Included is a daily walk and with the optional extra of 3 beach outings per week. Owners can also get an insight into and share their dog's holiday with daily photo updates, emails and texts sent through. As a bonus, pick-up/drop off service is available too.

Need to know- Dogs that have high anxiety/barking/behavioural issues or that won't socialize in a friendly manner with other dogs will not be accepted for care. Dogs must also be de-sexed (except with prior arrangement), fully vaccinated and with flea and tick control.
