A winner with locals, Beyond the Pale is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The modern décor includes polished concrete, timber cladding, exposed light bulbs and bits of greenery; with plenty of seating options from al fresco dining to indoor dining at plush booths or pull up a stool by the bar.
Breakfast, available from 6am to 11am, ranges from smashed avo on toast and eggs benedict to smoked salmon potato stack with pickled red onion and cream cheese, and goat’s milk pannacotta with fresh fruit salad and katifi. Coffee on pour is roasted locally by Dramanti Artisan Roaster.
Lunch and dinner options include eye fillet steaks, crispy skin salmon, pork belly, poke bowls, wagyu cheeseburgers and fish tacos with coriander and corn salsa, slaw and baja sauce.
Bar snacks, available until 11pm, consist of chunky fries with honey and paprika mayo, spiced house pickles, smoked bbq chicken wings and mac ‘n’ cheese nuggets served with chilli jam. Cheese and charcuterie boards are also available.
Child-friendly, kids can nosh on toast dippers with egg and pancakes for breaky, or spag bol, cheeseburger and chips or fish and chips for lunch and dinner.
There’s 12 taps of craft beer including Beyond the Pale house lager and local brews by Green Beacon, Newstead Brewing and Stone & Wood. The carefully curated wine list is predominantly Australian or select a signature cocktail like Old Cav Rd, Above and Beyond or Ad-Myer - vodka, strawberry liqueur and lime juice. Or get the party started with a pitcher of Pimms.
