The Inchcolm Bar

Spring Hill

The Inchcolm Bar is a splendid, old-world, Hollywood-inspired lounge bar in the lobby of the heritage-listed Inchcolm Hotel, a 1920's medical centre in Spring Hill.

Located at the Valley end of Wickham Tce in a Spring Hill street steeped in history, with many landmark heritage listed buildings, The Inchcolm Bar whisks you away to another time and place the minute you step inside.

The stunning backlit bar, which doubles as a hotel reception desk, is like a fabulous museum display, with a glass Cabinet of Curiosities designed to elicit nostalgia in guests, with everything from old shuttlecocks and telephones to John Lennon memorial plates, radio microphones and apothecary jars.

The exquisite lounge bar features original dark wood panelling, frosted glass windows, ceiling to floor velvet curtains, lamplit tables, polished floors, Bentwood chairs and walls painted like an artist's canvas.

Whilst primarily a place for a quiet civilized drink like the house signature martini, a glass of premium spirits or boutique wine, The Inchcolm Bar also offers a top quality European-style food menu.

Choose from lighter options such as spinach & gruyere dip or escargot with bageuette; chicken liver pate and grilled sourdough; steak tartare, oysters or Yarra Valley Caviar or an artisan cheese or charcuterie platter.

For something more substantial there are casual dishes like toasties, Caesar Salad, southern fried chicken with corn on the cob or the Inchy Burger, ranging up to steak frites, fish of the day or Moreton Bay Bug spaghetti.

For something sweet, there's mud cake with white chocolate ganache, creme caramel with macadamia crumb or house made tiramisu with marscapone cream.

Ned to know- There is some on-street metered parking nearby during the day, but by night you can park across the road in Brisbane's only heritage-listed car park, for a flat rate of $5 Monday to Friday (enter after 4.30pm and depart before 5.30am the next day) and all day Saturday and Sunday. .
