The Florist Kitchen & Wine Bar
Brisbane Cbd
UPDATED JAN 2020: THIS VENUE HAS NOW CLOSED
The Florist Kitchen & Wine Bar in Brisbane’s CBD is serving homely, tasty dishes and selling bouquets of luscious flowers to city goers.
The expansive eatery is serving coffee and booze from the front of the kitchen, with plenty of relaxed dining at the back of the venue. With an abundance of indoor and outdoor tables, there’s space for group and intimate dining. The décor somewhat resembles that of its Kangaroo Point counterpart Summer House, with tropical cushions and blush pink walls.
The menu is suited to group dining, laden with delicious, generously sized share plates. There’s something for everyone, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available. The Florist’s five spice chicken is definitely a must do, served with a nam jim herb salad, slaw and spicy aioli.
If you’re feeling fishy, sink your teeth into their Szechuan calamari or their succulent miso fish cakes.
An ideal brunch dish would have to be their bruschetta which is sourdough bread topped with cherry tomatoes, red onion, basil and a balsamic glaze.
If you’re looking for something more substantial, you can order a main or one of their street food options. Breakfast is also served at The Florist.
For beverages, there is an extensive wine list, eight beers on tap and spirits. The kitchen also serves coffee, tea, juices and smoothies.
Need to know – very limited paid parking is available.
