Hello Chicken
Bowen Hills
HELLO CHICKEN HAS CLOSED.
Wrap your hands around some finger licking good drumsticks at Hello Chicken, a Korean-style fried chicken joint in Bowen Hills' King St precinct.
The quirky restaurant features two campervan wall decals on the exterior, one van window serves drinks and the other serves food. There is indoor seating available in a small restaurant space, as well as outdoor seating.
The menu is filled with chicken dishes of course, including fried chicken pieces and boneless whole and half chicken. Coatings include their Original Fried Chicken, Crazy Hot Chilli Chicken, Soy Garlic Chicken, Snowy Cheese Chicken and the restaurant’s most popular, Korean Chilli Chicken.
The chicken dishes are served as three meal deals, with other sides and dipping sauces available to purchase too. The largest meal deal is inclusive of chicken, chips, coleslaw, celery and cucumber pickles and a Korean favourite, skewered rice cakes. Meals can be also be ordered to takeaway.
Soft drinks can be included in a meal deal, or alternatively alcoholic beverages can be purchased through the drinks window. There are three Asian tap beers – Asahi Dry, Korean Max and Orion. There are wines and spirits on offer, as well as two Korean inspired cocktails.
Need to know – There is paid street parking available. Look for the yellow kombi on the corner wall - it's hard to miss.
Nice to know – Hello Chicken is an extension of the restaurant next door, Sushi & Nori.
