Mamak Malaysian Roti & Satay brings the traditional tastes of Kuala Lumpur's Indian-Malay street stalls to Brisbane CBD.

Located in Charlotte St's Little Asia dining precinct, Mamak is a slick, contemporary eatery that draws a crowd for lunch and dinner.

Take a seat outdoors on the brightly coloured street furniture or in the funky high-ceilinged interior, which has an industrial vibe with raw concrete ceiling, pale timber furniture, and shiny steel frames between dining areas.

A touch or warmth is provided by ceiling to floor curtains, a smattering of pot plants and the bustling open kitchen which is fronted with jars of herbs and spices.

Food is ordered and paid for at the table via the contactless ordering system and delivered to the table in an efficient time frame. Mamak is also BYO alcohol with a small corkage charge.

On the menu you'll find a range of heavenly savoury roti - canai (traditional); telur (classic egg); planta (rich & buttery); bawang (sweet red onions); telur bawang (egg & onion); or murtabak (spicy chicken/lamb, cabbage, egg & onion). There's also sweet roti (pisang, kaya, bom & tisu)  which is traditionally served with curry or as a dessert with ice-cream)
