No Such Thing As A Fish

Concert Hall Qpac

Get ready to laugh your gills off when No Such Thing as a Fish, from the researchers from hit BBC panel quiz show, QI, hits QPAC Concert Hall, Thursday May 17.

A live stage version of the incredibly popular U.K. podcast, No Such Thing as a Fish is presented by Dan Schreiber, James Harkin, Anna Ptaszynski and Andrew Hunter Murray – the brains behind the wonderful long-running QI series formerly hosted by Stephen Fry and now by Sandi Toksvig.

The No Such Thing as a Fish weekly podcast – or NSTAAF– has the fun foursome sharing the most bizarre, extraordinary and hilarious facts they’ve found out over the previous seven days. The live incarnation will include a live recording, as well as a first half which features the most astonishing facts the team have found from the year’s news. And let’s face it – with a year like the last one, there will be plenty of material.

Says Dan Schreiber, “We started as four dorks sitting around a single microphone trying to make each other laugh… we now have four microphones – but it’s a thrill to know there are hundreds of thousands of other people who love the same wild and hilarious facts that we do.”

That’s right. Since its launch in 2014, NSTAAF has won numerous awards including iTunes’ Best New Podcast, and been named by iTunes U.K. as one of its top 10 most downloaded podcasts of 2016. It was also adapted for BBC2 into two hit series called No Such Thing as the News. Their 2015/16 tour sold out the 1,000-seat Lyric theatre in London as well as several venues across the U.K. and Europe.

And if you don’t trust their taste, trust in our own comic genius, Tim Minchin, who said: “My favourite Geeks. Hilarious. Sideways. Brilliant.” Enough said.
