Superfly Funkeye is a modern izakaya and wine bar located in Woolloongabba’s hottest dining precinct, down the mystical Eden Lane.
The open bar and restaurant features large open windows that look straight into the bar stocked with all sorts of quality Japanese liquor. There’s plenty of seating outside under the fittingly giant mushrooms.
The menu is quite unique, featuring authentic Japanese cuisine with a slight Western twist. The Karaage Chicken is an obvious favourite, served with butter lettuce, togarashi and goma mayo.
The Kingfish is one of their bona fide Japanese morsels, served with kohlrabi, roasted nori and miso yuzu dressing.
The cocktail menu is quite bespoke, try their signature Super Fresh Superfly for a zesty refresher, made with freshly squeezed ginger and lemon juice. The Princess Peach and Momo Chan are two of Superfly’s other signature cocktails, both featuring quality Japanese liquor.
