Deann's Coffee House

Ipswich

DEANN's COFFEE HOUSE HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY THE RETRO DINER.

Deann's Coffee House is a quaint retro coffee house in the heart of Ipswich where you are taken right back in time through the food and decor.

The time travelling starts as soon as you walk in the front door and past the scooter on the black and white chequered floor, the buddy holly vinyls, the Elvis and Marilyn pictures, the old television set, retro canisters, kettles and milkshake machines through to tables and chairs that look like they’ve come brand new, straight from the 1950’s.

It’s definitely about comfort food here and who doesn’t love the taste of homemade? The pine nut and white chocolate cheese cake is to die for (and gluten free) and the pear and ginger tea cake is a delight to the tastebuds. The gluten and dairy intolerant are well catered for at Deann’s.

And good cake must always be accompanied by good coffee which was speedily served up by a friendly staff member. Talking about coffee, Nutella fans will be excited to know that Deann serves up Nutella Cappuccino, now that’s sure to warm your heart and soul!

In addition to the sweet delights, there’s an all day breakfast menu with good old home-style meals and organic free range eggs including eggs benedict, omelettes, french toast, BLT and a vegetarian combo.  If you’re feeling like a sandwich, Deann’s has a range of gourmet sandwiches using fresh and homemade ingredients. And what’s a retro cafe without the milkshakes!  Which one tickles your fancy - peach and orange, spiced banana, strawberries & cream or mocha cream?

Deann's Coffe House Ipswich

Deann’s Coffee House has done a great job at bringing something a little different into the Top of Town precinct in Ipswich. Deann’s 1950’s style coupled with its warm-home cooked meals is most certainly something you should try if you’re in need of some heart warming comfort and a step away from the everyday modern.
