For here, sequestered away in an unremarkable line-up of commercial and retail outlets, lies what is Brisbane’s best kept home furnishing secret - a virtual oasis of beautiful recycled furniture, unique art and homewares. Even the interior of the Suasana warehouse itself has been understatedly transformed with moody industrial lighting, floating flooring and a crafted mezzanine level to best enhance the furniture and wares on display.
The furniture is an eclectic mix of industrial, mod, retro furniture constructed from sustainable sources. The quality timber is largely sourced from old buildings, bridges, railway sleeper, doors and old boats, essentially creating an alchemy, turning aged old hardwood into modern and timeless pieces.
The philosophy behind Suasana is one of eco sustainability, hence the use of recycled timber and natural woven materials, such as Banana Fibre, Rattan and Water Hyacinth.
Look out for the giant Gilli chair, shipyard plasma units and benches, tea chest consoles, funky Old Boat retro bedside tables, bookcases made from canoes, an old Indian railway cart coffee table, four poster beds, carved daybeds and consoles, intricate room divider lamps and stunning statement pieces like a 4m longboard boat dining table.
In addition you’ll find a great range of beautiful one-off decorative pieces, sculptures sourced from exotic places around the world, – think ornate vintage Indian doors.

Need to know - A major point of difference when shopping at Suasana Furniture and Design, besides the great value, is that all pieces found on the showroom floor can be delivered immediately. However, if a customer needs a different size, stain, style, weave or fabric, they can customize at no extra cost.
Getting there - Take the M1 to Exit 19 (Rochedale Rd) follow it along and then turn right at the lights onto Springwood Road, passing under the M1 and then right at the T-intersection lights onto Logan Rd. Suasana Furnitue & Design is a block and a half along on the right, accessed by a turn into Gunn Street and then the Logan Road service road.
