Mt Gravatt Marketta is Brisbane southside’s answer to the inner north Eat Street Markets - a fabulous foodie destination of food trucks and street food stalls with live music and a shipping container bar.
A sibling for Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta, this new night market takes place every Saturday from 4 to 10pm at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds on Logan Road.
Each week, 60 of the best food trucks and street food vendors from Brisbane and the Gold Coast join forces for this smorgasbord in the burbs.
There are hot wings from King of the Wings and smoked meats by Barbecue Mafia, freshly shucked oysters and mussels, vegan fare and delicious desserts; from injectable donuts and extra-large lamingtons to Greek honey puffs and Italian gelato.
You can eat your way around the world with international cuisine from French crepes and Spanish paella to New Zealand boil up. Drink wise, there’s a stall selling fresh sugarcane juice, an organic coffee café and not one, but two bars providing craft beer, wine and cocktails.
Need to know - The Marketta takes place rain, hail or shine and is mostly undercover (with the exception of some seating). Pull up a stool, eat, drink and enjoy the local, live music on offer.
