2001: A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick's timeless masterpiece returns to the big screen at Palace Centro in Brisbane in 70mm for a limited season from June 29.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the dazzling Academy Award© winning science fiction drama of man vs. machine will be displayed in a brand new 70mm print which will play exclusively in its first week, offering audiences a chance to experience the wonders of celluloid projection, and enjoy the all time classic film in its highest quality form.

Based on Clarke’s short story The Sentinel, 2001: A Space Odyssey is an experience out of this world that changed cinema forever. With its revolutionary meld of music, imagery, sound and philosophy, it is regarded as one of the best films of all time and deserves to be viewed on the silver screen.

About the 70mm experience: General Manager of Palace Centro, Jordan Bastian, says ‘If you get a chance to watch something that is perfectly curated for you, you can't miss it! It's the most beautiful image on a cinema screen and with one of the most classic films of all time, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’. Palace Centro recently screened Dunkirk in 70mm with back-to-back sold out sessions.
