Ice Bar

Brisbane

HI FOLKS WE RECEIVED AN UPDATE FROM METRO ARTS TODAY (1st Feb) SAYING THAT THERE IS SOME UNCERTAINTY SURROUNDING THIS EVENT SO WE ADVISE NOT TO PURCHASE TICKETS UNTIL OTHERWISE ADVISED.

Brisbane is getting its first ice bar in February - the perfect escape from the searing mid-summer heat.

The pop-up bar is part of the IceBar Experience, which is coming to Metro Arts, Brisbane on Feb 10.

Offering a unique chance to hang out in arctic temperatures, with drinks served from a bar sculpted from ice, sitting on ice-carved seats sipping frosty cocktails from ice ‘glasses’ and surrounded by icy sculptures, the ice bar is set to be a summer must visit.

Punters are encouraged to dress up in the warmest winter woollies for the experience and ‘appropriate clothing’ will also be provided at arrival.

Sessions, which must be pre-booked, run for 45 mins and cost $65 per person (or $300 for group of 5), including all drinks.

Those interested in taking the icy plunge need to register their interest and sign up for pre-sale tickets here.

*Note that places are limited and tickets are to be sold on a first come basis.
