Michael Rother + Friends will take to the Brisbane Powerhouse stage on February 28, 2024 as part of OHM Festival, in celebration of the landmark album NEU!

Upon release, Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger's self-titled album NEU! defined an era of underground music. 50 years on, it continues to be influential, dismantling every hierarchical structure in rock music.

Michael Rother and the NEU! album cleared the path soon trod by Brian Eno and David Bowie, and later countless others who were searching for a way out of established rock-and-roll formats, and a way toward something more transcendent and profound.

To celebrate 50 years of NEU!, Michael Rother will perform alongside long-time collaborators Hans Lampe on drums, Franz Bargmann on guitar and Vittoria Maccabruni (electronics and vocals). Michael Rother + Friends is supported by the Goethe-Institut.

Part of OHM Festival of Other Music.
