Bright & Early Books

Ascot

Bright & Early Books in the heart of Ascot is an independent bookstore that specialises in children's books and early childhood literacy.

Owner Cholm Johnson, a former school teacher who has taught in schools in remote Queensland, Brisbane, London and Rwanda, knows a few things about the importance of reading for both knowledge and pleasure.

Bright & Early Books, Ascot

Together with Bright and Early Education and Elicia from Little Learners Ascot, Bright & Early Books provides the local community with a beautiful bookstore and learning centre that offers opportunities for learning, growth and unending imagination for all.

Inside the charming book shop, customers are invited to take their time, relax (with beanbags provided) and enjoy all that a local community bookstore has to offer.

Bright & Early Books, Ascot.

The bookstore supports Australian authors and creative locals, as well as much-loved international authors. You'll find  beloved classics like The Magic Faraway Tree (Enid Blyton), Winnie-the-Pooh (A.A. Milne) and Where The Wild Things Are (Maurice Sendak), along with new books by Anh Do and David Walliams.

There's something for all ages, from picture books and early readers through to young adult/tween fiction. In addition, the store has a fantastic selection of books for adults too. Plus, a great range of exciting and educational gifts for boys, girls and grown-ups.
