Sunshine Beach Off Leash Dog Beach

Beach

One of the best dog off leash beaches on the Sunshine Coast would have to be that of Sunshine Beach, the picturesque seaside hamlet nestled to the south of Noosa National Park.

The offleash section, which runs from Entrance 27 all the way to the National Park headland is a protected stretch of surf beach that is overlooked by exclusive beachfront homes perched high on the hill above and with the backdrop of the national park.

On weekends families gather with their four-legged members on the sands and on weekdays it's still a popular spot from sunrise to sunset.

Need to know: There's a small car park just up from the beach entrance, with shower and toilet facilities and the path to the beach runs alongside a small stormwater creek which provided a natural division between the off leash section and the rest of the beach.

Nice to know: Nearby Sunshine Beach shops include a cluster of great cafes and restaurants, most of which are dog friendly with bowls of water and shady spots to tie up a dog out front.
