One of Brisbane's favourite food trucks, King of the Wings, has opened its first bricks and mortar restaurant with laneway dining, dishing up their award-winning, American-style wings along with slow-cooked ribs and more.

King of the Wings, Stafford

Voted Best Food Truck in Brisbane for five consecutive years, 2016 to 2020, King of the Wings was established by husband and wife team Dylan and Katrina Pires in 2013.

Seven years on, the dynamic duo have launched their first 'flagship' restaurant in Stafford, offering a tasty selection of chicken wings in finger lickin'  flavours such as Southern Style, American BBQ, Bee Sting (honey and sweet chilli), Portuguese Crumb (peri peri and lime), The Chillogy, and not for the faint hearted, The Extreme Chillogy - 1.4 million on the Scoville Heat Scale.

As well as wings, customers can chow down on slow-cooked pork ribs (half or full rack) served with watermelon salad and beer-battered chips, plus there's a range of scrumptious sides such as sweet potato wedges, chicken garlic rice, chicken nuggets, vegetarian samosas and spring rolls, and last but not least - delectable desserts: key lime or mississippi mud pie.

Drinks wise, there's American soft drink Dr Pepper, fresh iced tea, craft beer, wine and classic cocktails like Cosmopolitans, Espresso Martinis and a refreshing twist on an old classic,  G & Tea.
