Mt Gravatt

Thai Smile Cooking (ex-Maa Kinn Bangkok Street Food) brings a taste of Thailand from the streets of Bangkok to Mt Gravatt with delicious street food and favourite Thai dishes.

Nestled on Logan Road at Mt Gravatt Central, this tiny budget eatery boasts an extensive menu of authentic fare; from tasty appetisers and fresh salads to stir fries, curries and noodle dishes.

Thai snacks on offer include fish cakes, curry puffs, spring rolls, satay chicken and quail egg wontons, while salads range from Yum Beef (grilled beef tossed with Thai herbs, and tangy dressing) to Larb Ped (diced duck pieces dressed with herbs and spicy dressing), and the crowd pleasing Som Tum (sweet and salty papaya salad).

Thai curries feature on the menu including Green, Red, Panang, Massaman and the house special - Red Duck Curry - as well as delicious stir fries with a range of sauces: oyster, ginger, peanut or chill and basil.

Maa Kinn Bangkok Street Food

Classic noodle dishes consist of Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Mee and Pad Kimao also known as Drunken Noodles (hot and spicy rice noodles with your choice of tofu, chicken, beef, pork or prawns). In addition, there are noodle soups: Tom Yum and Khao Soi (egg noddles in coconut curry).

Maa Kinn also offers traditional desserts like black sticky rice pudding, coconut sticky rice, deep fried ice-cream and banana in coconut milk.

Nice to know - Gluten-free and vegan options are available.

Need to know - They also provide take-away and delivery.
