Mecca Bah is a lush Middle Eastern dining oasis nestled in the heart of Newstead's Gasworks Plaza.

Featuring a sophisticated and chic interior, the venue offers a rich selection of traditional-meets-contemporary Middle Eastern and Mediterranean/North African dishes.

On the dinner menu, you'll find a delectable selection of Mezze including crispy rustic cauliflower, steamed Persian green-stye dumplings, aromatic spice meatballs and harissa rice paper rolls while salad choices include baked halloumi, Moroccan chicken and North African lamb.

Mecca Bah's delicious stone-baked pizzas come with toppings such as Persian chicken & tahini, smoked & spiced haloumi or Moroccan spit roasted lamb and mains include the likes of African spiced octopus, sticky short beef ribs, harissa lamb sheesh or the Mecca Bah signature platter (short tender glazed beef ribs, garlic chicken and spiced lamb skewers, Persian pilaf, Lebanese flat bread, creamy garlic sauce and Mediterranean bone marrow). Another house speciality at Mecca Bah and highly recommended are the heavenly tagines (chermoula vegetable,sesame & honey chicken or seared & spiced lamb).

Mecca Bah is also open for brunch daily - from 10am-3pm weekdays and 8.30am-3pm on weekends. Brunch offerings are Middle Eastern with a smattering of western, including bacon & egg roll and smashed avo on toast and a plant-based vegan breakfast together with Za' Tar breakfast, and the Mecca Bah Big Breakfast (dukkah scrambled eggs, falafel, dates, Moroccan beans, sausage, spinach & sour dough with feta and cucumber salad). There's also tagines, salads, and a selection of the dinner mezze dishes.

Diners can order wine by the glass or bottle from a thoughtfully selected wine list, or enjoy a cocktail handcrafted by the bartenders. Mecca Bah have a decadent array of cocktails to offer from classics to the magical and well balanced house cocktails dreamed up by their mixologist.
