Little Corner Cafe

Wooloowin

Little Corner Cafe is perched on the corner of Dickson and Thorrold Streets in Wooloowin, the one-time corner store’s latest cute incarnation.

Little Corner Cafe's egg on toast

This northside coffee nook serves up top notch nourishment like chunky organic fruit toast with ricotta and honey, smashed avocado, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon on sourdough and fresh roma tomato, Persian feta, sumac and olive oil on peasant multigrain. The coffee featured is Genovese while cold drinks include yummy smoothies in banana, berry and cold brew espresso; made with low fat ice-cream, milk and honey.

Outside, the Little Corner Cafe is bright and cheery with yellow chairs and potted plants scattered on the lawn; while inside the pressed tin bar stands out amid tables with chairs. And paying homage to the historic suburb, are vintage prints of nearby Wooloowin train station and a Thorrold Street cottage (which still stands today, virtually unchanged).
