Dovetail On Overend

Norman Park

Dovetail on Overend is a popular coffee nook in Norman Park providing expertly brewed coffee and gluten-free treats.

Sitting on a sunny, suburban corner, this hole in the wall cafe - with recycled, custom-built timber tables filling the footpath - is owned by former cafe reviewer, Adam Thomson (who knows a thing or two about coffee) and his wife Rejoice.

Coffee on pour is locally-roasted by Almanac Coffee. Also worth a try are the epic milkshakes in flavours including vanilla, violet crumble, avocado, and nutella oreo.

Breakfast here is a treat - look out for the cafe's signature baked eggs dish - 2 free-range eggs baked in house-made chilli con carne. Or try the Bangalow Babe (thick-cut toasted sourdough sandwich with Bangalow ham, gruyere cheese and Dijon mustard) mustard) or classic Reuben sandwich with pastrami, sauerkraut, gruyere cheese and house-made Russian dressing on rye.

Customers can also choose from a delicious selection of gluten-free treats including Rejoice's renowned Purple Yam Pavlova donut.
