Brisbane' south side has a new contender for best brunch cafe with the opening of Never Been in Underwood.

From the team behind Ground Hog Social (Manly) and Deedot Coffee House (Holland Park), customers can expect the same friendly service and fabulous brunch fare in a stunning new location.

Located on Logan Road, the spacious venue with sky high ceilings is modern and contemporary with plenty of seating provided inside and out, offering laneway-style dining in a beautiful garden setting featuring lots of greenery.

The all day menu boasts breakfast classics like eggs on toast, smashed avo on sourdough, and a Mediterranean Breakky Stack with grilled haloumi, house smoked bacon, avocado, poached eggs and kalamata tapenade on toasted Turkish bread with tomato passata.

Brunch dishes with a delicioius twist include Reuben Benedict (sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, seed mustard hollandaise and poached eggs on toasted Turkish) and Spag Bol Croque Madame - spaghetti bolognese sandwich with parmesan bechamel, tomato passata and fried egg.

For sweet tooths, there's Eton Mess French Toast - brioche French toast served with strawberry and yuzu jam, vanilla bean mascarpone, fresh berries and meringue; plus a selection of sweet treats like almond croissants and yummy muffins.

Lunch-type offerings range from a Mortadella Sub (Italian mortadella, pickled green tomatoes, Swiss cheese and mayo) and a mint and rosemary Lamb Burger with lemon labneh and macadamia dukkah, to Grilled Barra with papatas brava and Heirloom cherry tomatoes, and spicy Jerk Chicken served with chilli mango chutney, coconut yoghurt, coriander, lime, and toasted coconut chips on souvlaki flat bread. 

The cafe is child-friendly with a kids menu that consists of bacon and eggs with sourdough, brioche French toast, Greek yoghurt with granola and fresh berries, and housemade chips with Kewpie mayo dipping sauce.

The drinks menu is extensive offering expertly brewed coffee supplied by Gold Coast-based boutique coffee roaster, Roast By Yili; served along with specialty lattes, hot chocolate, chai, tea, smoothies, milkshakes, frappes, cold pressed juices and house made sparkling iced teas - lemon and peach, or raspberry and lime. 

In addition, Never Been is fully licensed with craft beer on tap, wine by the glass, spiked house soda, and classic cocktails from mimosas and margaritas, to espresso martinis and Aperol spritzes.
