Culture-shaping supergroup, Yothu Yindi, will take over Brisbane Powerhouse on March 2, 2024 as part of OHM Festival

Few musicians have shaped Australia's political landscape like Yothu Yindi. Since bursting onto the scene in the late 1980s, the pioneering band have made history as the first Aboriginal band to peak on the ARIA singles chart and gain international recognition through smash hits like Treaty and Tribal Voice

Fusing sounds stretching from traditional Yolngu vocals and rock 'n' roll to contemporary electronica, Yothu Yindi has always and continues to beat with a political heart.

Now thirty years on, the original band members alongside some fresh talent from the next generation, are returning to the stage for a very special performance.

Continuing to honour the music and movement sparked by its founders, this revamped supergroup will take over the Powerhouse Theatre stage for one historic show that is not to be missed.

As words from their timeless anthem Treaty reverberate into present-day conversations, this is a band and a message that will make you think, feel and move.

Part of OHM Festival of Other Music.
