Galvanized - A Festival of Heritage
Galvanized is Ipswich’s Festival of Heritage, showcasing the finest heritage experiences and events the city has to offer across 11 days, from 31 August to 10 September, 2023.
Hands-on blacksmithing workshops, haunting ghost tours, a prohibition party, and the opportunity to celebrate First Nations culture with workshops, food, story, and arts will all be part of the program when Galvanized – A Festival of Heritage returns to the City of Ipswich.
The Festival features a jam-packed program full of events and experiences for visitors and locals alike to explore the unique story and heritage of one of Queensland’s oldest towns, with a strong focus on community and shared histories.
Returning fan-favourites Culture on Country, Bikes, Beards and BBQs and the Prohibition Party, will be joined by fantastic new additions such as the Sky Iron Festival of Blacksmithing and Rubbidy Dubs to Pubs Walking Tour.
These are just some of the 50+ events presented through performances, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, and thought-provoking talks and walks in venues ranging from galleries to graveyards.
Be sure to plan early and book your tickets to be transported back in time!
