Grand Central Floral Parade

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers' iconic Grand Central Floral Parade returns this year in a kaleidoscope of colour, on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

The Carnival of Flowers showcases the Toowoomba region's culture, colour and community spirit, and it's the Grand Central Floral Parade that stops - and unites - the Garden City.

One of Toowoomba’s favourite events of the year, visitors and locals alike line the streets to watch colourful characters and roving performers entertain the crowds, as they escort the stunning floral floats on their journey through the heart of the city to Queens Park.

This year's Floral Parade will feature almost 30 fabulous floats, designed and decorated by local businesses and community groups, along with 10 bands and 15 marching groups, plus a range of visual art and community groups.

In big news, this year's Floral Parade will kick off with a much earlier start time of 10am, allowing crowds to enjoy a full day of shopping, sightseeing and adventuring in the region.

The Parade departs from the corner of Herries and Hume Streets, continues along Herries Street, turns right into Ruthven Street, right into Margaret Street, left onto Hume Street and finishes on Godsall Street Oval on the corner of Hume and Godsall Streets.

So, pick your vantage point, this vibrant street celebration is not to be missed!

Need to know: Road closures will be in place around Toowoomba CBD on Parade day, Saturday, September 18.
