Get ready for a riotous ride into the absurd and uproarious world of Monty Python when GOMA's Australian Cinémathèque presents The Magic of Monty Python, from January 13 to 27, 2024.

Monty Python, The Meaning of Life

Immerse yourself in the timeless comedic genius of the legendary British comedy troupe. Whether you're a lifelong fan or a newcomer to the world of Monty Python, this curated film program is your chance to experience the magic of Monty Python on the big screen.

Monty Python, The Holy Grail

The program brings together the silver screen collaborations of Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam, including the much-loved medieval epic "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (1975), the ribald religious parody "Life of Brian" (1979), and the bawdy musical-comedy "The Meaning of Life" (1982).

Monty Python, Life of Brian

Rounding out the program are the re-filmed revitalizations of their most beloved sketches in "And Now For Something Completely Different" (1972).

Monty Python

After beginning their careers writing and acting for different comedy television and radio programs, the group joined together to create the BBC TV comedy program ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’. This sketch show became one of the most influential television comedies of all time, mixing broad slapstick with unforgettable surrealism.

Monty Python, Life of Brian

Don't miss this unique opportunity to revisit the absurdist, wildly inventive and frequently rude work of Monty Python when The Magic of Monty Python screens at GOMA's Australian Cinémathèque from January 13-27, 2024.
