Jindalee

Two Teaspoons is a light and airy café nestled amongst a row of shops opposite Jindalee’s busy Home Base Centre and close by DFO, that provides a relaxed haven for weary shoppers and locals alike.

Here, Piazza D'oro Two Seasons coffee beans will satisfy the coffee lovers, whilst a wide variety of teas from Brisbane's West End Tea Co affords tea drinkers the opportunity to try something new or enjoy their usual brew. Maleny Dairies milk, Zymil, soy and almond milk are all available here.

The menu at Two Teaspoons caters to those looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or something delicious to savour just because .... All food is baked and prepared on site by part-owner, Carissa, who also supplies baked goods for a number of wholesale customers. Fresh produce comes from the Rocklea Markets and other ingredients are sourced from local suppliers.

Popular items on the menu here include the Acai Bowl (full of healthy deliciousness), the BRAT (bacon, rocket, avocado and tomato with mayo and red pepper marmalade on ciabatta) and smashed avocado on toast/sourdough. Granola (paleo and made by Carissa) served with Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruit and a side of milk is also an eye-catching option. Visitors with special dietary requirements are catered for with gluten free sourdough and burgers on the menu, along with dairy free dessert options. Kid-friendly food and drinks are also on offer, so there's something for everyone.

Why the name "Two Teaspoons"?  Carissa wanted the cafe's name to be linked to the kitchen and baking.  She couldn't help noticing that life seemed to be presenting things to her in twos: her sister helping with setting up the new cafe, going into business with her partner, the decision to serve both raw and baked goods at the cafe, serving Two Seasons coffee and also supplying baked goods to Two Trees Cafe in South Brisbane.

Here's another twosome that should be mentioned - the friendly service and fresh affordable food to be found at Two Teaspoons Cafe.
