Tank Stream Social

Enoggera

Tank Stream Social is a hidden gem of a specialty coffee cafe found in the backstreets of Enoggera, inside the Crema Coffee Garage, serving expertly brewed coffee, fresh flaky pastries and all day brunch fare.

Tank Stream Social, Enoggera

Crema, a Newcastle-based boutique coffee roaster, has been supplying beans to cafes, restaurants, hotels, and more since 2002. Tank Stream Social is their latest venture; a stunning warehouse cafe with an industrial Mediterranean vibe. Created to resemble an Italian piazza, the cafe features high ceilings with sky lights, exposed brickwork, arches, Juliet balconies, blue shutters and even an olive tree.

The all day menu boasts breakfast faves such as loaded granola served with rosella-infused coconut yoghurt, seasonal fruit and berries, and smashed avocado on sourdough with Byron Bay pecan dukkha, sprouts and citrus; while sweet tooths can indulge with waffles served with native lime curd, meringue, vanilla cream gelato, shortbread crumble and  berries, or pan-fried banana bread topped with mixed berry compote and strawberry shortcake gelato

Lunch-type offerings include Nourish and Goddess bowls. The latter filled with ancient grains, chargrilled vegetables, almonds, goji berries and sweetcorn  drizzled with citrus vinaigrette.

Otherwise, there's the Tank Stream B.L.A.T, the Garage Works Burger (wagyu beef patty, streaky bacon, sunny-side egg, grilled pineapple, double cheddar, pickles, beetroot relish, onion jam and greens), and the Barefoot Gypsy Burger - chargrilled vegetables, smoked pumpkin hummus, sprouts, onion  jam and chipotle mayo on Turkish bun.

Tank Stream Social is child-friendly with a Little Tackers menu consisting of bacon and eggs, waffles with vanilla gelato and berries, fish and chips, wagyu cheeseburger, and Baby Silverback toastie - gypsy ham, 3 cheeses and dijon mustard.

Drinks wise, coffee aficionados are spoilt for choice with a range of freshly-roasted blends and single origins (shipped daily from Crema's HQ in Newcastle), as well as cold brew, batch brew and pour over. Plus, there's a good selection of teas (black, green and herbal), hot chocolate, dirty chai, cold pressed juices, and milkshakes.

In addition, the cafe features a Coffee Playground where customers can test drive coffee machines, grinders, and alternative brew gear.

Nice to know - Crema will begin roasting onsite in Enoggera in the not too distant future.
