Kivahan Coffee Roastery

Slacks Creek

Kivahan has opened a slick, warehouse coffee roastery and cafe on Brisbane's southside, tucked away in industrial Slacks Creek.

Nestled inside the industrial warehouse, the roastery/cafe features a sky-high ceiling, concrete floor, exposed bricks and pops of greenery. Seating is provided along one wall with tables and stools, as well as at the rear with royal blue bench seating located beneath a massive, vintage mural.

This also where the magic happens - 100% organic, ethically farmed beans, sourced from around the globe, are freshly roasted on-site.

To complement the freshly roasted coffee, the menu boasts breakfast faves (served from 6am-11am) such as smashed avo on sourdough with feta and Middle Eastern dukka; pancake stacks served with maple syrup, ice-cream and berries; and fresh, flaky croissants topped with oven-roasted bacon, scrambled eggs and Swiss cheese.

Lunch is served from 11:30am-2:30pm and includes nachos (organic corn chips loaded with black beans, house made guacamole, cheese, sour cream and salsa); Wagyu beef burger; chicken and bacon burger; and fresh or toasted wraps and paninis

Kivanha is kid-friendly offering pint-sized meals like eggs on toast; bacon, egg and hashbrown; chicken nuggets and chips; or fish bites and chips.

Besides top-notch coffee, there's hot chocolate, chai, specialty lattes, pots of tea, milkshakes, smoothies and boozy beverages. Kivahan is licensed with craft beer on tap, wine, spirits and cocktails like espresso martinis, of course, and Kivahan's signature Fairy Floss Martini.

Nice to know - Kivahan is named after the world’s first coffee shop that opened in Constantinople (Istanbul), Turkey in 1475.
