Gung Ho Dumpling

Fortitude Valley

Gung Ho Dumpling is a cute little dim sum and dumpling bar tucked away in Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley.

Nestled in one of the Valley's hidden alleyways, diners can enjoy delicious hand-made Chinese dumplings and Sichaun cuisine al fresco, with tiny timber tables spilling out into the leafy laneway.

Tasty traditional dumplings can be ordered pan-fried, steamed or poached (served in a soup) and come in 9 succulent flavours.

These juicy little morsels are filled with the likes of local Tiger prawns, lamb and coriander, chicken and prawn, pork and chives, plus 2 vegan options: seasoned tofu or quinoa and sweet potato. All dumpling orders are served with Gung Ho dipping sauce.

In addition, diners can order delicious snacks such as pork yum (pan-fried pork belly in sweet Yakiniku sauce), poached wonton in spicy red chilli sauce, and crunchy, fried peanuts.

Otherwise, there's slurp-worthy soups including poached pork wontons in sour soy soup and yummy rice noodles in slightly spicy soup, topped with slow-braised pork.
