The leafy inner southern suburbs of Yeronga/Yeerongpilly are popular with families and feature a charming riverside pocket of traditional and modern homes, excellent parks, public pools and state schools, microbreweries and a smattering of cool cafes.

One of Yeronga's quirks is the cluster of streets near the river that all start with O and are named after the first P&O liners. There are also some grand heritage-listed Queenslanders, and secret pocket parks as well as a riverside walk that leads to UQ across the Eleanor Schonell Bridge.
