Brisbane's Outdoor Table Tennis Tables

Play table tennis in the open air for free at these 15 parks around Brisbane with public table tennis tables.

Some of them are riverfront with stunning views and you can either BYO bats and balls or hire them from nearby council ward offices.

Orleigh Park - You'll find this table tennis table down by the river next to the West End ferry terminal, at the corner of Orleigh and Hoogley St, West End  (pictured above)

Simpsons Playground - Another riverside table tennis table, this time located at the Graceville Riverside Parklands, in the Simpsons Playground area, 225 Graceville Ave Graceville 

Oriel Park, Ascot

Oriel Park - As well as the Federation-era rotundas and playground, this Ascot park on the corner of Alexandra and Lancaster Rd has added a table tennis table to its attractions. (pictured above) 

Kuringgai Park - Located on Brisbane's north side, this park features barbecue and picnic facilities as well as the table tennis table. 14 Kapatur Ave, Fitzgibbon

Guyatt Park

Guyatt Park - This riverside park at Laurence St in leafy St Lucia features a table tennis table and is next door to an outdoor Ninja warrior course and playground too (near the ferry terminal) (pictured above)

Yimbun Park - The table tennis table is one of many attractions at this popular Sunnybank park, which also has a half basketball court, playground and picnic/BBQ facilities. 459 McCullough St

WA Jolly Park Lutwyche

W.A. Jolly Park - Lutwyche locals can get in a free game of ping pong at this park in 50 Wesley St, where there is also a playground, rebound wall and picnic shelters. (pictured above)

Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park (lower) - Located at Lower River Tce this table tennis table has a stunning backdrop including the CBD, river, South Bank & Goodwill Bridge (see top image). 

Frew Park - Brisbane's tennis themed park, located where the Milton Tennis Courts used to be, features a table tennis table next to the playground and outdoor gym. Entry via Lucy St or Haig Rd, Milton. (pictured above) 

Teralba Park  - On the cusp of Everton Park & Mitchelton, this park not only has a table tennis table but a playground, BMX facility, basketball half court, exercise trail & more. 120 Pullen Rd, Everton Park.

E.E. McCaskie Oval - This popular Kelvin Grove park has a table tennis table, outdoor fitness station, playground and picnic shelters -139 Kelvin Grove Rd, Kelvin Grove (pictured above). 

Downey Park - The home of Brisbane's Table Tennis Club, this massive recreation park also has an outdoor public table tennis table amongst its many features. 50 Noble St, Windsor.

Albert River Park - This park is just south of Brisbane but it's worth visiting for its state of the art facilities including the table tennis table and a fantastic playground. Fryar Rd, cnr of Ramu St, Eagleby (pictured above)

Greenways Esplanade Park - Located in Parkinson, this large recreation space features a table tennis table, basketball & cricket facilities, picnic areas and playground. 30 Greenways Esplanade, Parkinson.

Waterline Park Gym - One of the more colourful urban parks, Waterline Park is a popular outdoor exercise gym space, with three table tennis options on offer - perfect if you're challenging family or friends in a mini-tournament. Queens Wharf Precinct, under the Riverside Expressway, directly in front of 1 William St, Brisbane CBD (pictured below).

Need to know - If you don't have your own table tennis bats and balls, they can be borrowed from the following council ward offices: North - Bracken Ridge, Marchant, McDowall, Enoggera, Hamilton; South - Calamvale, Runcorn, The Gabba; West - Tennyson, Walter Taylor, Paddington.
