Riverdale Park

Meadowbrook

Riverdale Park, a popular recreation destination south of Brisbane, has been recently upgraded to include a fantastic dinosaur-themed playground.

Once part of the Armstrong family's 100-year-old grazing property, Riverdale Park borders the banks of the Logan River at Meadowbrook, sprawling over 10 hectares with rolling green hills, established trees, and plenty to attract visitors of all ages.

The new prehistoric-inspired playground is a must-do for dino lovers, with two dinosaur-shaped climbing structures, pterodactyl-topped swing set, play tower with tunnel slides, fossil digging area, and more, including dinosaur eggs and baby dino statues scattered throughout the playground.

The $2.65 million upgrade also includes a large fitness hub, located beside Logan City's first parkour circuit. The circuit offers an alternative method of keeping fit, featuring customised equipment such as a spider cage, gibbon swing, pyramid climber, and precision balls.

Riverdale Park is perfect for picnics and family gatherings with both electric and wood-fired barbecues available, as well as shelters including several gazebos set on the banks of Logan River, plus a beautiful, large rotunda for big groups on the hill overlooking the manicured lawns and playground.

But that's not all, there's a basketball half-court, duck pond, large open spaces to kick a ball, access to the Logan River for a spot of fishing, a great off-leash area for four-legged family members, and accessible toilets.
