Boonah Country Markets

Boonah

Just over an hour’s drive south-west of Brisbane, the Boonah Country Markets are well worth a visit.

Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, they offer a wide range of stalls with something for everyone – country wares, vintage pieces, bargains and bric-a-brac, and more!

With 50+ stalls, there is always a good mix of local providers and popular stalls that do the country market circuit.

Scenic Rim Lavender, based in nearby Mt Alford, is a family-owned business that takes pride in offering affordable and well-priced products that have made using the lavender grown on their farm. Just the scent alone when you visit this stall will have you feeling calm, relaxed and stress-free.

Handmade by a mum using recycled materials, Giorgi’s Collection have some super-stylish and functional bags of varying sizes, styles and colours – perfect for market shopping, beach visits and evening’s out. Best of all, they can be hosed clean, so great for spillages, making them pretty and practical.

Shopping for household food staples is easily achieved, with a number of freshly picked fruit & vegetables stalls, plus local meat and bakery providores on offer.

You can even grab some new additions for the garden while you’re there and get expert advice from the grower.

For families visiting, the markets are held in Springleigh Park which has a massive, fully-fenced playground which means the kids get to burn off some energy while you get to take your time to peruse the offerings.

Nice to know – There is plenty of free street parking, and the park is flat so pram-friendly and wheelchair-friendly. There are toilet facilities just near the playground.
