Rooms feature rain showers, quality plush bedding, free wi-fi and historic photos of Margate, and highly-recommended are the oceanfront rooms with balconies enjoying stunning sea vistas.

Sebel Margate Rooftop bar

The rooftop pool and terrace boast stunning 360 degree views of the bay and inland and from Friday to Sunday the rooftop bar is open, serving cocktails, beer, wine and spirits to hotel guests and locals. And, on Friday night from 5-7pm, it's Happy Hour on the rooftop, with half price beer and wine.

Downstairs, the Margate Beach House eatery and bar also makes for a fantastic spot for a bite to eat or drink, with open terrace at the front looking across at the beach and views from many of the indoor tables. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast (included with some of the packages) or choose from an a la carte menu.

For lunch and dinner, there's delicious small dishes such as Mooloolaba Prawn cocktail, spicy chicken karaage, wild mushroom & truffle arancini or flash fried baby squid and large dishes such as pappardelle of king prawns, market fish with Fraser crab salad, toasted potato gnocchi, fish and chips, monster vegan burger or 200g ultimate Angus burger.
