Smoky Mountain Hideaway

Mount Glorious

Smoky Mountain Hideaway is a secret smokehouse perched on the side of Mount Glorious, offering stunning views and authentic American fare with a southern twist.

Located on a bend of the winding mountain road, this hidden gem is well-worth a pit stop, providing dining inside a light-filled room and outside on a large deck, with both spaces boasting beautiful bush views.

Smoky Mountain Hideaway, Mount Glorious

The hilltop hideaway offers delicious American fare with a side of southern hospitality, from the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina to Mount Glorious. Everything is made on-site including the mouth-watering smoked meats, house made BBQ sauce, and handmade potato and pale ale sourdough buns.

All day brunch ranges from fried chicken and homemade waffles with maple syrup, to Huevos Rancheros (corn tortillas topped with fried eggs, beans, BBQ sauce and salsa), and a savoury, southern-style scone with spicy pork and fennel sausage, fluffy eggs, and BBQ sauce.

Smoky Mountain Hideway,

After 11am, patrons can get their lips around classic sandwiches such as the Reuben (homemade pastrami, sauerkraut, spicy dressing and melted cheese on rye) and Cubano (smoked pork, ham, gherkins and cheese with homemade mustard on traditionally made loaf of Pan Cubano).

Otherwise, there's the Smoked Smash Burger - smoked and smashed beef patties topped with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, BBQ sauce and American mustard - and specials such as grits and grillades. Plus, there's tasty snacks like jalapeno poppers, Buffalo wings with blue cheese dip, and triple cooked, smoked, hand-cut chips.

Drinks wise, there's a selection of craft beer and cider, a concise wine list, soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea.
