Victoria Park's Grand New Parklands

Brisbane’s biggest new park in 50 years, Victoria Park has started taking shape, with the transformation of the ex-golf course into a massive 45 hectare green public parkland, now open for picnics with a view, walks and space for kids to kick a ball or run around.

With the exciting  Draft Master Plan released back in 2022 by Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and Brisbane residents asked for their feedback, the plan is due to be finalized in the near future.

The stunning 64 ha redevelopment, which started with the closure of the gold course, will see the iconic parklands become one of Brisbane's major tourist attractions for all ages.

Major drawcards will be include an elevated Treehouse Lookout atop a central tower, with sweeping views of the CBD skyline and surrounding suburbs.

Also in the plan are an Adventure Valley, Nature Water Play Gully, wetlands and waterholes, community edible gardens, an inner city connector bridge and a state-of-the-art Adventure Playground

Good to know - The current Victoria Park function centre, Bistro, driving range and putt-putt course are remaining due to their popularity.

Need to know - Victoria Park will be redeveloped in stages over the next few years, with each new section opened to the public upon completion.
