Cbr Equine Cottage

Amamoor

CBR Equine Cottage is a peaceful dog friendly get-away nestled into one of the many rolling green hills in the Amamoor area, inland of Noosa.

Whilst not luxurious, the renovated cottage is clean, very comfortable and provides all that's needed for a relaxing break from the daily grind.

Two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and lounge/dining area ensure that guests feel quite at home. On the front verandah a rustic timber breakfast bar and four bar stools provide the perfect spot for afternoon drinks and nibbles, watching the sunset or enjoying a meal.

Cheese platter and glasses of white wine

The view from the verandah is of lush undulating hills, horses grazing, contented cows and hillside avocado orchards. Watching a storm come in from this property is a real treat, especially if the conditions are just right for a rainbow.  Depending on the time of year, guests can find macadamia nuts, star fruit, longans (closely related to the lychee) or the sweetest Bowen mangos growing on the Wilson's 40 acre property.

Hill at sunset

Kids and adults alike will enjoy a walk to the top of the property, meeting the resident horses and soaking up the amazing view. Depending on recent rainfall there are swimming holes to visit and walks to do in the area. Fishing and kayaking in the Mary River will also delight those who enjoy the outdoors.

Horses in paddock

The self-contained cottage is part of the Wilson family's Canny Breeders and Racers Equine Lodge and welcomes not only human guests but also your canine and equine family members. A timber kennel is located at the back door of the cottage for your pooch and horses can be accommodated in the onsite stables. The family's dog, Riley is sure to provide an enthusiastic welcome to visitors but knows not to put a paw over the cottage's threshold. It is worth noting that whilst the horse paddocks here are fenced, the property itself isn't, making it important for guests to keep a close eye on their dog.

CBR Equine Cottage Amamoor

CBR Equine Cottage is a great base for exploring the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and is a lovely peaceful spot to return to after a day of sight- seeing. Amamoor State Forest is on the doorstep and it's an easy drive to Noosa and the Noosa Trail Network (popular with horse, bush walking and mountain bike enthusiasts). A short distance away, visitors can enjoy trips to Gympie (handy for the annual Muster), the scenic township of Pomona, quaint Cooran, Lake MacDonald, the Noosa Botanic Gardens, Boreen Point and more.

In a nutshell - For a complete break from the "real world", CBR Equine Cottage is a very comfortable and ideally located haven in the hills.
