Camerata & Karin Schaupp: Serenade

Concert Hall, QPAC

Camerata – Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, along with Australian guitar virtuoso Karin Schaupp, will perform an inspiring concert of classical music at QPAC's Concert Hall on May 22, 2024.

This special performance, featuring Karin  Schauppone of the world’s most accomplished classically trained guitarists” (Sydney Morning Herald), will showcase two exquisite pieces of music for guitar and strings.

Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words, usually for solo piano, will be performed in a delightful new arrangement for guitar and strings, while Carl Vine’s 2023 piece, Endless, will make its chamber orchestra premiere in what promises to be a moving and heartfelt performance.

Camerata

Dvořák’s radiant and joyous Serenade for Strings will also be sprinkled throughout the program. This uplifting performance will also include Camerata’s much-loved Wild Card Mystery Segment, all without a conductor in sight.

As always, concert-goers can join Camerata in the foyer after the show to meet the musicians and have a chat.

Tickets from $69*. Transaction fees apply. Discount available for Students, Children, Under 35s and Families.
