RPAC

The extraordinary life of First Nations’ Australian, David Bindi Hudson, is highlighted in From Campfire to Stage Light, at Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) on Saturday, 13 July, 2024.

The well-known cultural leader and global ambassador for Indigenous Australia, is the ultimate storyteller, singer-songwriter, dancer, visual artist and actor.

From Campfire to Stage Light

From Campfire to Stage Light is laden with yarns and jewels of Hudson’s life, from a childhood spent on outback cattle stations to international stages and serendipitous moments in the sun, including popularising the didgeridoo, performing in a world tour with Greek composer Yanni, and success in co-founding the award-winning dance troupe and Australia's longest running theatrical production ‘Tjapukai’.

From Campfire to Stage Light

This epic journey toward self-determination and Indigenous pride is brought to life in From Campfire to Stage Light, through storytelling, songs, and extraordinary visual design.

From Campfire to Stage Light

Don’t miss this "amazing theatre experience" (Artshub) that is “funny, emotional, sharp and intense” (Limelight), where David Hudson has been described as a “storytelling mastermind” by ATYP.
