Channeling Great Dreams

Victoria Park

Channeling Great Dreams is fabulous, fundraising event, held at Victoria Park on July 25, 2024, and promises to be an unforgettable evening where fine wine, gourmet cuisine, and mesmerizing entertainment come together to turn dreams into reality!

Great Dreams is dedicated to empowering young people, pairing them with inspiring mentors to help them achieve extraordinary feats. This enchanting night will not only feature the amazing achievements of their 2024 recipients but will also shine a spotlight on the transformative work of the Great Dreams Program. Get ready to be inspired and entertained as you celebrate the power of dreams and the incredible journeys they ignite!

A special segment of the fundraising evening will celebrate Gerrard Gosens’ world record attempt at becoming the first totally blind person to conquer the iconic English Channel in August 2024. Despite being born completely blind, Gerrard will face strong currents, freezing waters, and jellyfish, equipped with only bathers, goggles, and a swimming cap. His determination and spirit exemplify overcoming challenges and chasing great dreams.

Funds raised from this event will contribute to Gerrard’s $340,000 fundraising target, making his historic swim a reality.
