Thirsty Chiefs in North Lakes is the ultimate man cave and beer lovers haunt, where patrons can brew their own beer, as well as enjoy a few on tap at the bar.

The industrial-look brewery is obviously decked out with all the machines and kettles to brew beer, along with a bar, pool table and even a TV to watch the footy. Bar seating, tables and a lounge area is available for patrons to relax on. Exposed brick walls and wooden features complete the industrial, brewery feel.

Using the finest quality, preservative-free ingredients, patrons can brew their favourite beer by picking from a variety of recipes. Patrons then simply follow the recipe and experience the whole brewing process from start to finish.

Once brewed, the beers are cooled and put through a filtering process until they are ready for pick up two weeks later. Patrons return and bottle their brews with the Thirsty Chiefs staff, in collected or purchased beer bottles.

There are a range of beers on offer including those that replicate popular brews such as Corona, XXXX and Tokyo Superdry. Thirsty Chiefs also has a range of unique recipes such as chilli beer, ginger beer and a variety of fruit ciders. Gin lovers rejoice – they’ve even brewed juniper berry beer before! Gluten-free brews are also available.

If you’d rather the experts brew for you, patrons can head down to Thirsty Chiefs for a cheeky beer at their bar. Home brews alternate through the four beer taps, with permanent favourites remaining, such as the Hop Chief. Bottled beer and ciders in a range of flavours are also available to purchase from the bar.

Alternating food trucks such as King of Wings and Jaffle Shmaffle join the brewery every Friday for the weekly wind down. Each Friday, thirsty patrons enjoy a few fresh, local brews, some delicious street food and listen to the local band of the week.
