Cedar Creek Rock Pools

Samford

Spend an afternoon with the bellbirds and kookaburras at the rock pools of Cedar Creek, just ten minute's drive past Samford Village.

This is a quiet place to explore nature, rock hop, and maybe even spot a fresh water eel or platypus. The creek itself is surrounded by shady trees and there are a few locations to choose from for a picnic or for swimming on a hot summer afternoon, especially after rain.

Cedar Creek Pool

Andy Williams Park has picnic tables and free gas barbecues overlooking the creek as well as toilets and a car parking area. The natural rock pools here are a pleasant spot to cool off and there are lots of miniature waterfalls for children to splash around in.

Cedar Creek Pool

Nearby Halls Road Crossing is another waterhole suitable for paddling on a hot day. Here children will spend hours collecting rocks, building dams, and looking for tadpoles.
