Eagles Nest Rooftop Bar

Kangaroo Point

Eagles Nest Rooftop Bar is the place to start or finish the weekend on top of the world, literally, in an exclusive champagne hideaway atop a swish Kangaroo Point hotel.

Brisbane’s highest bar by far, Eagles Nest is perched atop The Point, a boutique hotel found tucked away in a leafy street not far from Dockside. From the curved terrace the wraparound views are nothing short of spectacular, taking in the Gateway Bridge to the east, Toohey Mountain and Dutton Park’s EcoSciences building to the south, Brisbane River and Mt Coot-tha to the west, as well as the entire city skyline from the City Botanic Gardens around to the Story Bridge.

Eagles Nest Rooftop Kangaroo Point

Open Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, Eagles Nest serves up tapas, champagne, wine and craft beer and signature cocktails with a side of chilled music.

As well as champagne, on the drinks list are Peroni and craft beer on tap, a selection of Margaret River’s pioneer winery Cape Mentelle wines, and a mix of classic and contemporary cocktails, such as French Martini, Raspberry Mojito and the popular Awkward Moments (vodka, cranberry juice and basil).

And to accompany, Eagles Nest offers a small selection of gourmet bar food including antipasto, arancini balls and cheese platters.

Need to know – There is free parking onsite at The Point for bar patrons. Eagles Nest is open Thursday to Sunday from 3pm, the rest of the time it is available for functions worthy of such a spectacular setting.

The decor and menu may have changed since our visit.
